While I have other A-Z books, I especially like this one. Each ailment/symptom/use has 3 recipes in different formulations - cream, diffuser, powder, salts, spray, lotion, etc. The recipes generally use easy-to-find essential oils and other ingredients. It's well written. I purchased two books - one for me, one for my mother to start her essential oil journey. I highly recommend the book, and have.

My friends have been into oils for a long time. It was not until lice came to our school that I decided to try them out. i purchased what my friend suggested and made a spray. Our kids remained lice free! Then, another friend gave me lavander oil when I was stressed. I immediately loved it. I decided it was time to learn more. This book is perfect! It gives a great overview and background of oils and then provids recipes for health and home. My favorite so far is the herbal dental rinse! I love replacing chemicals with natural alternatives.I received this book at a discounted rate in exhange for my honest opinion.
A really great resource for a newbie like me. I've just begun my aromatherapy journey, trying to educate myself with books, the internet, etc. And with as many medications, supplements, over the counter treatments and everything else out there for treatment of ailments, I've become increasingly interested in finding a more natural means to heal myself and my family. This book does a great job at giving a look at herbs and oils, and how the history of how they were used to heal prior to the pharmaceuticals of today. It touches on the biology of aromatherapy, and how the scents affect our brains. It gives the uses of each oil, as well as remedies, treatments, prevention, and recipes for different conditions and concerns. I'm really glad I got it - it's definitely given me a solid start. :)
I found this book to be both informative and well written. It contains great information on many different essential oils, as well as uses and benefits. The layout was great for bookmarking information I will refer to later. I will recommend this book to family and friends.
This is a very comprehensive resource! I am new to essential oils and needed a resource on the what, why, and how. This (along with the Mini Modern Essential Usage Guide) are great sources of information!
Love this book! Great recipes for just about everything. But it only puts 3 recipes per topic, and I felt like there should be more.
Excellent information, concisely written and easy to follow...would recommend to anyone who is interested in learning about Essential Oils/Aromatherapy.
