**This review is based solely on the condition of the book, not the content. I am a massive fan of V.E. Schwab, or else why would I be buying collector’s editions of her books?**One of the best parts about the collector’s edition for this series is that beautiful artwork on the inside cover. While 90% of my copy is perfect, I am completely dumbfounded by this error. That’s not a page that could have been torn while being passed from hand to hand or packaged. It was clearly torn and THEN glued to the inside cover of the book. I’m on the fence about whether it’s worth the effort to return it just to wait for a new copy to come, if that’s worth my time or if this fault is unique enough to keep, but I couldn’t just sit silently with this knowledge when someone else might be truly heartbroken to receive a copy in this condition.
attempt number 3 at making a review, it seems you can't post if anything bad is said about the large company that does all the shipping that owns our soul......Amazing book, if you love her work, or loved the series this is the perfect addition to your library. I just majorly warn off getting without seeing in person as my copy came damaged. For a collector this is a problem, and one that shouldn't have happened. Again AMAZING book, plot is perfect continuation of the world, but just buyer beware.
Even though I already own the original version, I had to buy this one too. It's just gorgeous. Of course, the book itself is fantastic too- a refreshing change from a lot of fantasy. I absolutely love the characters she created.
