When ordering books online it is a bit of a gamble. but sometimes it pays of unexpectantly. this is a beautiful over sized book with many facial sketches thru out various stages to learn from. the over size pics make it easier to see the techniques. I am very very happy.

My 20 year old step daughter has been in a program for several months and asked me if I could get her some art supplies to help her pass the down time she has. I tried to focus on things that would be of a relaxing nature and/or help her express herself and/or help her find hobbies that she loves enough to carry on with once she's back out in the world so that she has positive things to focus on (possibly things she could turn into a career, as well). I did a ridiculous amount of research to find the right drawing book for her and after reading the reviews and the description of this one I was sold! Besides all of the awesome reviews, there's two other details that made this one the winner; 1. The price (but, of course~lol). 2. More bang for your 💵.It teaches you about 2 different mediums (painting and drawing) so since it was important for me to get as many quality products as I could for as little $$ as possible, I couldn't go wrong 👍😁. I do regret that I didn't have the opportunity to check it out prior to sending it to her (for my own curiosity and so I could give an informative review). Her box of supplies (and a few other miscellaneous items) had been collecting dust on my livingroom floor for months and I didn't want her to have to wait any longer (and I was tired of 👀 at it~lol). After I placed the order for the book I had to wait a pretty lengthy amount of time for it to arrive and although I was informed of this (and accepted it), I had to knock off one ⭐ for it's 🐌 paced arrival.

Excellent for a beginner artist. Easy to understand, not too complicated, yet covers all aspects of the face. Bought as a gift for a new artist and already she's progressed at an amazing speed thanks, in part, to this little book.

I have enjoyed this book immensely. I recently began painting. One of the areas I need to learn and practice is drawing realistic human faces. The author's diagrams and words are easy to understand. I've been a doodler all my life but could only draw faces that look like cartoons. With the help of this book, I've been able to draw realistic pictures. Thank you Debra Kaufman Yaun. I'm very grateful.

Cool story!

The book is for adults and includes all of life's issues, turns and craziness. Loved the book. Laura went thru a lot and I enjoyed reading about her journey.

This book is so exciting, I find it hard to put down and can't wait to get back to it. It has all kinds of lessons to be learned in the story. For someone like me who is looking for natural and spiritual ways of wellness, this book has been extremely helpful. And the listing of resources is worth more than the price of the book!

In It's Not Weird Anymore: An Extraordinary True Tale, Laura Legere pays tribute to Elizabeth Gilbert, the much-acclaimed author of Eat, Pray, Love, which has now been filmed with Julia Roberts in the leading role, in the following words: "Reading her book really inspired my own writing. It gave me the impulse to dig deeper and get more descriptive, and like mine, hers was a spiritual journey." The outer journey that Laura describes takes her from Mexico to Egypt and Hawaii, with her inner journey being just as fascinating. Laura describes her recovery from a scooter accident in the first half of her book--on shore in Mexico from a cruise ship, she lands up hurtling over the handlebars of her scooter face first into a solid coral rock ditch.
